The Amish are a “radical” Protestant offshoot known for their plain dress, hard work, and rejection of modern technology. They also believe that before you are baptized you should be sure that you choose the faith rather than the faith choosing you. From ages 16-21 Amish adolescence are encouraged to take part in a rite of passage called Rumspringa. They will sample the English ways and decide which path is right for them.
